Upcoming RPP Filing Deadlines & Annual Meeting
Upcoming Deadlines
Another reminder of two important deadlines for registered political parties that are approaching.
A first deadline is for political party election expenses returns that are due by 5 p.m. on Monday, April 28. Within The Election Act, 1996 there is no ability for the Chief Electoral Officer to provide an extension to this deadline.
A second is for RPP fiscal period returns that are due by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30. Again, by legislation, there is no ability for me to provide an extension to this deadline.
For both of these deadlines, please consider the impact of the upcoming Good Friday and Easter Monday holidays.
If you have questions or if you need assistance, please reach out to Aaron Thompson, Director of Finance (Aaron.Thompson@elections.sk.ca), and he will be able to help.
Annual RPP Meeting – “Save the Date”
A brief note to let you know that I am planning to hold our annual meeting between Elections Saskatchewan and the Chief Official Agents of the province’s registered political parties on Tuesday, June 10.
This year, I’m pleased to say that we’ll meet at The Grotto Restaurant in Vibank (just 30 minutes to the south and east of Regina) for our meetings and for dinner at the end of the day. The food there is just excellent, and I know that you will appreciate the importance of getting outside the city and enjoying other communities in the province.
While the agenda is still in development, I expect that we’ll start our day closer to noon so as to not have a long break between the end of our meetings and dinner. We will be in touch with more details as they are confirmed. I’m looking forward to seeing you there.
Dr. Michael Boda
Chief Electoral Officer
Province of Saskatchewan
