Upcoming RPP Filing Deadlines – Final Reminders

Final Reminder – RPP Filing Deadlines

This will be the final reminder that I send to you on two important upcoming deadlines.

First, registered political party election expense returns are due no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, April 28. As I have mentioned several times, The Election Act, 1996 does not provide me with the authority to extend this deadline.

Second, RPP fiscal period returns that are due no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30. Again, by legislation, there is no ability for me to provide an extension to this deadline. Don’t forget to include your P-602 Tax Receipt Reconciliation and we also ask that you provide an Excel listing of tax receipts issued which helps us conduct our sampling for review.

Please contact Aaron Thompson, Director of Finance if you have any questions about either of these two returns.

Post-Election Reporting

Consistent with the past two elections, I’ll be publishing my post-election report in four volumes. The first volume, Statement of Votes, is currently being desktopped and will be printed and then tabled with the Legislative Assembly before the end of May. Once that report is publicly available, I will also make a set of poll-by-poll results in CSV format available. If you have questions, please feel free to contact me.
