March 19, 2026 – Elections Saskatchewan today tabled A Report on the Thirtieth General Election, Volume III, Statement of Expenditures. This is the fourth and final volume of the institution’s post-election reporting following Saskatchewan’s October 28, 2024, General Election.
This volume provides a detailed accounting of the financial costs associated with administering Saskatchewan’s 30th Provincial General Election. In addition to operational expenses—such as payments to election workers and rental of voting locations—the report also includes reimbursements paid to eligible registered political parties and candidates, as required under Saskatchewan’s election legislation.
“After any major event funded by public resources, a natural and appropriate question is: what did it cost?” says Dr. Michael Boda, Chief Electoral Officer of Saskatchewan. “The administration of elections should be subject to the same scrutiny as any other public undertaking.”
“Elections are among the most important events in our province. Administering them requires significant logistical planning and public investment—from recruiting thousands of election workers to securing voting locations across the province. The reporting we provide ensures that both the operational costs of running an election and the legislated reimbursements to political participants are transparent and publicly accountable.”

Elections Saskatchewan has produced four volumes documenting Saskatchewan’s 30th General Election:
According to The Legislative Assembly Act, 2007, provincial elections occur every four years on the last Monday in October, unless delayed by a federal election call. Saskatchewan’s 31st General Election is scheduled for October 30, 2028.
Elections Saskatchewan (ESK) is the province’s nonpartisan election management body and an independent office of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan. ESK directs and supervises the administration of provincial electoral events. Information for voters, workers, media, candidates, and parties at www.elections.sk.ca.
