Elections Saskatchewan tables 2024-2025 annual report

July 3, 2025 – Elections Saskatchewan tabled its annual report, titled “Service. Integrity. Innovation. Delivering with Confidence,” in the Saskatchewan Legislature today.

“This past October we witnessed democracy in action as more voters cast a ballot in our provincial general election than in any since 1991,” said Dr. Michael Boda, Chief Electoral Officer of Saskatchewan. “Delivering this election was the highlight of our past fiscal year. Thousands of Saskatchewan residents worked in returning offices and voting locations across our province to deliver a smooth and effective voting experience, all while implementing new tools and processes.”

“In an era of declining democratic participation, it was heartening to observe so many voters embodying a practical commitment to this province and to our shared future. While there is still a great deal of room to grow voter engagement, these election results were an encouraging step in the right direction.”

Other highlights from this past fiscal year include:

• Dr. Boda continued to engage in dialogue with counterparts across the country and around the world, ensuring Elections Saskatchewan’s ongoing engagement with, understanding of, and contribution to global developments in election administration.
• We reached the end of our 2023-2025 Strategic Plan that included a broad series of three-year deliverables. A new four-year strategic plan will be released this fiscal year.
• Work began on the comprehensive four-volume Report on the Thirtieth General Election, including the release of Volume One report on June 2.

Elections Saskatchewan’s audited financial statements for this past fiscal year will be available on the Elections Saskatchewan website before the end of July.

Elections Saskatchewan (ESK) is the province’s nonpartisan election management body and an independent office of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan.
