June 23, 2026 – Trusted Elections. Trusted Democracy” is the title of Elections Saskatchewan’s 2025-2026 annual report that was publicly released and tabled in the Saskatchewan Legislative Assembly on Monday, June 22.

“Maintaining the trust of our stakeholders—including voters, political parties, and candidates—is essential to our continued success,” said Dr. Michael Boda, Chief Electoral Officer of Saskatchewan. “Democratic elections depend on public confidence and participation. Voters must have confidence that elections are administered fairly, impartially, and in accordance with the law.”

“I also want to highlight the recommendations for legislative change contained in my post-election report,” said Dr. Boda.  “These recommendations are intended to strengthen electoral integrity, improve access to voting, and support the effective administration of elections in Saskatchewan.  I hope that legislators will give them careful consideration over the summer so that progress can be made when the Legislative Assembly returns this fall.”

The annual report can be viewed online at www.elections.sk.ca/reports-data.

Highlights from this past fiscal year include:

  • Elections Saskatchewan published its strategic plan for the years 2026-2029: Trusted Elections. Trusted Democracy. Achieving Electoral Integrity and Access through Innovation. This plan introduced a new strategic imperative for the institution, focused on preserving and strengthening stakeholder trust.
  • The Chief Electoral Officer completed significant post-election reporting. A Report on the Thirtieth General Election was released in four volumes throughout 2025-26.
  • Volume IV of the Chief Electoral Officer’s post-election report included recommendations for legislative change aiming at strengthening electoral integrity, improving access to voting, and supporting the effective administration of elections in Saskatchewan.

“The past year marked both the completion of Saskatchewan’s 30th General Election and the beginning of our preparations for the 31st,” said Dr. Boda. “As we move forward, Elections Saskatchewan remains committed to preserving electoral integrity, expanding access to participation, and maintaining the trust that underpins our democratic process.”

Elections Saskatchewan’s audited financial statements will be available on the Elections Saskatchewan website next month.
